What's going on with the Lewii

Proud Moment

Kathryn was nominated by her teacher to be one of the Students of the Month at Northrop Urban Environmental School. We are so proud of her being Mrs. Stoneburg's right-hand.

Unfortunately we didn't get great pictures of Kathryn receiving her award, but it was a special event for her and I wanted to share it with you!

What Kathryn wants to be when she grows up

In August the girls and I went to the State Fair. We took in the U of M Alumni Band and Goldy Gopher, much to the girls' delight. We also went to the kids farm and the girls did their chores. When we left the kids farm we walked through the horse trailer area to avoid the total congestion on the streets. The following conversation ensued on our traverse through the horse trailer area.

Kathryn singing with BLC Cherub Choir 10-25-2009

Kathryn is in the Cherub Choir (K-2nd grade) at Bethlehem Lutheran and she quite enjoys it. The director told us that Kathryn is one of her favorites (of course--why wouldn't she be a favorite?!!!) because she is so friendly and loves to participate. =)

Watch and see how much she follows the director. Perhaps she has a future in dramatic music...

Videos working again

All the previous video posts should be up and running again. They should work better now and come up quicker than before the upgrade.

Site updated

Well, the site is fully updated now. There are a few modules I want to add back in, but for the most part, things should be working. Let me know if you have any trouble.

Happy New Year!

Hrm...been a bit sparse on the posts here...one of my New Years resolutions is to post pictures at *least* once a month. Things have been crazy, as always, and I don't expect that to change, so I just need to suck it up and do it. Anywho, here's to a new year, and for those of you playing: Rabbit, Rabbit!

Another funny Kathryn story

So Kathryn had just finished eating breakfast, and she and Michelle were getting ready to head out for the morning (they were going to the zoo). Suddenly, Kathryn said, "When it gets warm, Grandma Carmen and me are going to go to the park and throw rocks." Not sure where that came from, but I think we need to talk to Grandma Carmen about what they do when they're at the park. ;)

Pajama update

I could hear Kathryn fussing throughout the night last night, but since the fussing didn't evolve into crying or calling for either of us, I didn't get up to check on her. Around 5:30 she came into our room naked, but for her diaper! And she was cold! And her diaper was very wet! (As it happened, neither of us went in to shut off her extra night light after she was asleep.) I asked her just now if she remembered what happened and she told me about not having her pajamas on, so hopefully she'll remember that when she's going to sleep tonight.

Guess what! Another Kathryn story!

For some reason, getting into the van reminds Kathryn to ask about the baby. Today she asked me when the baby is coming. I told her, as I have in the past that it will be in the spring when there are leaves on the trees again. I said that is when her birthday is and said that maybe the baby would come after her birthday, or perhaps before it. She said that it should come for her birthday. Reas
