I'm so excited! I can now talk on irc, silc, yahoo!, msn, and google talk from one client! (Yes, I am a geek.) I had been running MacIrssi, console-based silc, and Adium, but it was a pain to manage all three programs. Besides, I prefer console-based apps, especially for chat.
Then I found out about this cool software called bitlbee that connects to a bunch of the IM networks. I got that installed on my mac via DarwinPorts, and got xinetd configured for it. Tried it from MacIrssi and it worked like a charm.

So Kathryn had just finished eating breakfast, and she and Michelle were getting ready to head out for the morning (they were going to the zoo). Suddenly, Kathryn said, "When it gets warm, Grandma Carmen and me are going to go to the park and throw rocks." Not sure where that came from, but I think we need to talk to Grandma Carmen about what they do when they're at the park. ;)

We had our ultrasound for Baby Lilo on 12 December 2006 (19 weeks into the pregnancy). Lilo had its hands and feet up by its head, so to our liking no gender was discovered! Lilo is active and I have felt movements on and off for about 6 weeks. This is quite a different pregnancy experience in terms of thinking about the baby; the symptoms and pregnancy characteristics seem to be the same as far as AJ & I can remember--AJ more than me!

I could hear Kathryn fussing throughout the night last night, but since the fussing didn't evolve into crying or calling for either of us, I didn't get up to check on her. Around 5:30 she came into our room naked, but for her diaper! And she was cold! And her diaper was very wet! (As it happened, neither of us went in to shut off her extra night light after she was asleep.) I asked her just now if she remembered what happened and she told me about not having her pajamas on, so hopefully she'll remember that when she's going to sleep tonight.

For some reason, getting into the van reminds Kathryn to ask about the baby. Today she asked me when the baby is coming. I told her, as I have in the past that it will be in the spring when there are leaves on the trees again. I said that is when her birthday is and said that maybe the baby would come after her birthday, or perhaps before it. She said that it should come for her birthday. Reas

Just wanted to note that the pictures in the gallery got reorganized a bit today to make room for my sister Charissa and her husband Erik to post pictures. Hopefully we'll see lots of pictures coming in from those two. :) Of course, I need to tell them how to upload pictures...minor details. But now...to bed! Zzzzzzzzzzzz...

AJ has been putting Kathryn to bed on his own more often recently, and so far it is working! He told me this story that happened a few days ago.
Wearing fuzzy pjamas is great. They are warm and fuzzy AND they have a self-operated escape hatch! More than 3 times I have found Kathryn, quite pleased with herself, stripped down to her diaper in the morning! (I am glad she hasn't started taking off her diaper too!) The other night when AJ was putting Kathryn to be she kept unzipping her pjs. AJ told her she needed to leave the pjs zipped. Becuase she was pretty tired at that point, Kathryn got fairly upset with this news and proceded to tell AJ that she needed the pjs unzipped because she had to feed her babies! AJ told her that she could zip the pjs down *part* way to feed her babies, but not all the way!

On Friday morning last week Kathryn asked me for a cookie. I told her that we didn't have any cookies so she couldn't have one. Later that day she asked again for a cookie. I gave her the same response and said that tomorrow she and Daddy could probably make some because he didn't have to work that day (and I didn't want to make cookies!). She accepted that and went on with her day. She and I were getting supper ready and she was talking about this and that and, wouldn't you know it, cookies. I think she was talking to herself, at least somewhat, when she said, "The answer is always no." Then she said, "The answer is always no, Mommy." I asked her to what the answer was always no, and she said, "To have cookies." I had to chuckle and then said, "I'm not opposed to you having cookies Kathryn, but we don't have any so you can't have them." On Saturday afternoon she and AJ made cookies!
