Well, the garage was finished up last Thursday in a whirlwind of activity. Our carpenter was finishing up his work, and the electricians and the garage door installer showed up. Needless to say, it was a bit crazy. I've added a few more pictures to the gallery starting here:

So Kathryn found a coffee bean on the floor this morning and was carrying it around. While she was playing with the cats, she dropped it and exclaimed, "My bean! My precious bean!". I think she's been watching the Veggie Tales Lord of the Beans a bit too much.

The roof is on and some of the trim too! Start here

Update: Woops - I said the roof was on, but what I meant to say was the roof underlayment and tar paper were on.

Took a couple minutes to look up how to build rain barrels (since the premade ones are upwards of $150 each). We have several spots on our house where rainwater comes down in large quantities (because of valleys), and with a new, larger garage, the amount of space

We headed up to Michelle's family's cabin in early July - here are some of the pictures from the trip.

Well, we've got a new name and a completely new site! Hopefully this will help us to update more frequently and keep better content, and maybe even get people outside my immediate family involved in what goes on the site.
