Tuna Noodle Salad!
Submitted by aj on Mon, 07/02/2007 - 22:45Here's a quick recipe for a good salad my dad used to make:
2 - 7 oz. Packages of shell noodles
2 - cans of tuna
1 - 32 oz. jar of Mayo
1 - 21 oz. jar of green olives
4 - hard boiled eggs
Cook the noodles. While the noodles are cooking, mix the tuna with the jar of Majo. Cut up the eggs into bite-size chunks. When the noodles are cooked, run them under cold water to cool them off.

The holy grail of instant messaging
Submitted by aj on Tue, 01/23/2007 - 16:17I'm so excited! I can now talk on irc, silc, yahoo!, msn, and google talk from one client! (Yes, I am a geek.) I had been running MacIrssi, console-based silc, and Adium, but it was a pain to manage all three programs. Besides, I prefer console-based apps, especially for chat.
Then I found out about this cool software called bitlbee that connects to a bunch of the IM networks. I got that installed on my mac via DarwinPorts, and got xinetd configured for it. Tried it from MacIrssi and it worked like a charm.
Another funny Kathryn story
Submitted by aj on Mon, 01/15/2007 - 22:02So Kathryn had just finished eating breakfast, and she and Michelle were getting ready to head out for the morning (they were going to the zoo). Suddenly, Kathryn said, "When it gets warm, Grandma Carmen and me are going to go to the park and throw rocks." Not sure where that came from, but I think we need to talk to Grandma Carmen about what they do when they're at the park. ;)
More picture posters
Submitted by aj on Wed, 11/15/2006 - 23:48Just wanted to note that the pictures in the gallery got reorganized a bit today to make room for my sister Charissa and her husband Erik to post pictures. Hopefully we'll see lots of pictures coming in from those two. :) Of course, I need to tell them how to upload pictures...minor details. But now...to bed! Zzzzzzzzzzzz...

Minneapolis Named Top Tech City
Submitted by aj on Tue, 09/12/2006 - 09:32Popular Science named Minneapolis the top tech city this year. Reading through the article, I can see why, but I guess I just take it all for granted. No wonder I like it here.
USB Turntable
Submitted by aj on Fri, 08/04/2006 - 11:27We have an old turntable that we hooked up to our mac via iMic, but it never really worked very well. I'm thinking we should pick up this USB Turntable and just convert everything to mp3.
